Welcome to NHDRA, where we focus on enhancing heart health in Nepal. Our mission is to provide accessible and affordable treatment options while raising awareness about heart disease. Join us in making a difference one heart at a time.
Most people who die of a heart attack in Nepal didn’t know they were at risk. Not because the signs weren’t there — but because nobody checked.
Our screening camps bring basic cardiac assessments directly to communities: blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, ECG, and a real conversation with a health professional about what the results mean and what to do next. No complicated appointments. No travel to a city hospital. No fees that rule people out before they even walk through the door.
Everyone — but we prioritise people over 35, those with a family history of heart disease, and communities in areas with little or no access to specialist care.
When we run workshops in schools and villages, we often ask: “Who here knows the warning signs of a heart attack?” In most rooms, very few hands go up. That’s not a failure of intelligence — it’s a failure of access to information.
Our awareness campaigns exist to close that gap. We go where people already are — community gatherings, women’s groups, schools, local radio — and we talk about the heart in plain, practical language.
We don’t hand out pamphlets and leave. We train community health volunteers who stay. We come back. We build relationships with places that trust us, because trust is how health information actually reaches people.
HDCL is our treatment centre in Champapur, Lahan — in the heart of Province No. 2, where specialist cardiac care has historically been almost impossible to access.
The centre offers consultations with experienced cardiologists, echocardiography, ECG, diabetes management, medication support, and coordination with hospitals in Kathmandu and Dharan for patients who need surgery or advanced procedures.
The difference is in who we serve and how we charge. Most of our patients are from low-income families. Many have never seen a cardiologist before. We subsidise costs, waive fees for those who genuinely cannot pay, and make sure that financial hardship doesn’t become a reason someone delays care until it’s too late.

Regular heart check-ups help catch potential issues early, ensuring better treatment outcomes and improving overall health.

Our awareness programs educate the community about heart health, empowering individuals to make informed lifestyle choices.

We provide accessible treatment through our centers, ensuring everyone can receive the care they need without financial strain.
At NHDRA, we are dedicated to offering heart-related services that truly matter. Our programs are designed to improve health and accessibility for all. Whether through routine check-ups, awareness initiatives, or support at our treatment centers, we are here to help.
Your support makes a real impact! By donating, you help us provide essential heart care and treatments to those in need across Nepal. Every contribution helps us in our mission to ensure every heart has access to the care it deserves. Together, we can change lives and save hearts.
